Charisma Starr — the neurodiversity coach who listens, understands, and transforms lives.
Charisma Starr is a thought leader and transformation expert with over 25 years of experience driving change in companies, teams, and individuals. An expert in legal, organizational systems, AI, neurodiversity, and mental health, Charisma has spoken at over 70 events and is both an advisor and consultant in the legal and technology industries.
In 2020, within a rare psychologically safe environment, Charisma recognized that what she had long perceived as sensitivity was, in fact, neurodivergence. High intelligence, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness had masked AuDHD, while years of misdiagnosis, covert discrimination, and navigating systems not designed for her had lessened her ability to thrive. As she unmasked and explored new environments, it became clear that the transformation most urgently needed was not personal, but societal.
A well-known and respected speaker in her industry, Charisma decided to take a risk and come out as Autistic in March 2024. While continuing her work in legal transformation, she now also focuses on fostering an open dialogue and promoting environments where diverse cognition and viewpoints are supported and heard. As one of the few openly autistic women in the legal field, she has impacted its neurodiversity-related programming through involvement with the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA), the Electronic Discovery Institute, Legal Geek, and many other organizations worldwide, injecting topics of mental health, emotional intelligence, mindfulness, and cross-neurotype collaboration.
In 2026, she celebrated her 70th speaking engagement, was asked by her company, JPMorgan Chase, to become an "Autism at Work" trainer, was appointed to the Neurodiversity Coalition of America's Board of Directors, and became a certified mind-body-spirit coach. Here, the current academic focus is on neurodiversity and AI, and how the neurodiverse can use AI as a translator and leveler to achieve success. She has spoken on this topic at MastersAI, ILTA Evolve, and ILTACon. In her spare time, she writes and uses Claude to create applications to help in her day-to-day life.

Neurodiversity Coalition of America
The NCA is a neurodivergent-led national coalition established by Fish in a Tree: Center for Neurodiversity Education, Advocacy, and Activism to build the practical infrastructure for neurodiversity justice in the United States. Chaired and governed by autistic, ADHD, AuDHD, dyslexic, and otherwise neurodivergent professionals, the NCA brings together leaders, organizations, and advocates to unite siloed efforts, set an annual National Neurodiversity Justice Agenda, and coordinate neurodiversity advocacy campaigns across education, healthcare, housing, employment, institutionalization, aging, and more. The Coalition amplifies neurodivergent leadership, establishes accountability structures for the growing neurodiversity field, and creates a unified national platform that shifts the neurodiversity movement from awareness to action, coordinated systems change, and justice.
